THE ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA CRAFT GUILD
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Craft Guild is to create handcrafted items to be sold at the Fall Festival. We share ideas and fellowship, encouraging all with or without special talents to nourish their creative side in an atmosphere of fun, laughter and service.
SUMMARY The Craft Guild started in June 2003 with Joyce Rodnicki as chairman and Maggie Shaffer as Co-chairman. There were about 10 members making handmade items that were sold at the "Fall Festival". All monies realized from our sales are given to our Church to be used where needed. We now have approximately twenty members with an average age of 75 years young. We meet the second Tuesday of the month from January through June and then every Tuesday until the Fall Festival in October.. There are no meetings in November or December although our members continue to keep busy gathering ideas.
You will find us in the Xavier Center, and we meet from 10 a.m. until noon. Please check bulletin for dates.
Personal receipts for items purchased to help complete a project are turned into Mark Shaffer, who reimburses us . We receive a yearly budget which is based on the previous Fall Festival sales. The Guild is very fortunate to have people who donate fabric and various craft items as well. These things are welcomed.
